IOWA Republican switches to Dems

He will be retiring (or more likely, retired against his choice)... soon...

And good riddance...
We do not need RINO's...
We need Americans...
But then... do residents of DC know what an American thinks like???
I doubt it...

McKean, who describes himself as a moderate, pointed to Trump’s spending decision and what he called the president’s “erratic, destabilizing foreign policy,” choices regarding the environment and “disregard for the truth.”

He says this and thinks the Dems are going to do a better job with spending and foreign policy? The guy didn't switch parties for the reasons he gave. He switched for political power. The guy is after all, a career politician.

IMO... what we need to do...

Is retire most of congress...
Put new kids in...
Put the fear of God in those kids...
So they will understand they are there to SERVE us...
NOT to build a career.

And while we are at it...
There has been talk for years and years about an amendment:
Stating something like:
Congress shall pass NO Law that does not affect ALL govt workers equally as it affects citizens.
In other words... NOBODY getting a govt paycheck gets a special deal the citizens do not...
This idea of congress critters getting special health insurance, full retirement for life, and a host more things...
MUST stop!

Probably the best solution is term limits.

Problem is, the people that would have to pass the amendment are the very ones that term limits would limit.

So here we are.

The Rep won the governorship with only 50.3% of the vote and the Dems flipped a house seat. This has to do with keeping his job.

I remember in 1998/1999 a bunch of elected GA democrats switched to republican... I thought that was so odd, I also questioned what their constituents who voted of them must be thinking.

Now, I am smarter and I know politicians do what they think will keep them in power.

There are many Republicans in the state assembly who really are not conservatives. Also look at before the housing boom in Paulding, how Paulding was a stronghold for the Democratic Party. The housing boom saw a drastic increase in the county's population and changed it from majority Democrat to majority Republican. Look at how many of those elected officials changed from the Democratic Party the the Republican Party. They only did so they could continue getting re-elected. Does anyone believe Jerry Shearin was really a conservative?
