Looking for a car....

I had an Aerostar for a few years. I also had a truck. The Aerostar was great on trips and around town, but it wouldn't tow squat. I had to put trailer brakes on my 18 ft. boat.

I have a neighbor whose wife talked him I to a Honda pilot which is sold as an SUV, but come on man. He wound up not trading his F-150 and says that was the best trade he never made. The Honda sits in the garage next to his fishing boat.

The Mrs. currently has an Escape with the factory towing package. It tows, but it strains pulling the boat, and if it weren't for 4wd, it would never pull it up a boat ramp.

Yeah I wouldn't use anything but a full size SUV (with a big six or an eight) or a truck to pull something big like a full size boat.

With the advent of the 3rd kiddo, my daughter went with a minivan. They got the Honda Odyssey though; they are about as cool as minivans get.

As hauling kids and groceries (and cats) go, nothing is better.

The lady at work passed on that car too but she did find a Town Car that she bought.

I was close to buying two different older (2011 and 2010) Dodge RAM 1500s but they both failed the inspections miserably. One wouldn't even stay in drive most of the time. I almost bit on a 2016 Ford F-150 but it was just way more than I wanted to spend for a second car and had more miles than I wanted.

Used truck prices are just insane right now. So, I did the next best thing and bought a.....

....wait for it.....

.....I'm going to catch heck for this.....

....minivan!

I know what you're thinking....that I am crazy (you may be right!). This thing will serve all the purposes I need for hauling anything that I would ever haul in a truck (all the back seats fold down into the floor). It was WAY cheaper than a used truck (about half with similar age and miles). And it is loaded....no cheapo truck roll up windows and manual door locks.

OK....you may now start with all the 'you bought a minivan!' comments. :D
Hey dude, thanks again for buying that thing from me,,, now maybe I can get my man card back!!

Maybe I'll put some 22's on it and put a big spoiler on the back. Would that get my man card back?
BIG chrome air-horns,,, that'll get your card considered.

Six inch chrome stacks would seal the deal!!
