Sigh....Trump made promises and didn't even try to accomplish some of them. To me, that means he was lying when he made those promises. He also made promises and failed to get them done (like building a wall).

You say "odds are very high that DeSantis would also fail" so you acknowledge that there is a chance that he could be successful. You want us to judge him before he even has a chance.

I simply don't understand the logic.

I'm just a fair person who doesn't care for all this revisionist history. And I am aware of the reality that Trump will probably be the GOP nominee.

I can’t wait to see what DS can accomplish when he’s POTUS, I have no doubt he will do great. Wake me up when he’s sworn in.

Hardly. You guys can't stand Trump but worship DeSantis. I have no dog in the fight yet because I'll vote for the dog who wins the nomination. That makes me the one looking at things objectively.

It is not necessary to wait and se if the person making the statement fails, failure is a completely different issue. To make promises that will be almost impossible to accomplish is either lying or a bad case of being clueless.

Every single president has failed at something. Every single one! That doesn't mean they lied when they said they would get it done. A president DeSantis will have failures as well, no matter how well intended he is or how hard he tries.

He could have answered like Trump, "Now that just a ridiculous question, which media company are you with?" I guess that would be too mean and direct for him. It would have made him look stronger, at least in my eyes.

I've seen elections in the past where a candidate either died or dropped out of the race after the ballots had been printed. The same ballots were used because of costs, and there was a chance the new ballots would not be back in time for the election.
