Because that thread is for a political candidate to answer questions from her potential constituents, not drama.
There was no warning. We didn't know what was going on at the time.
The post in question has a funny word in it...looked almost like an auto-correct mishap. The mods have another button RIGHT next to the quote button that reads modify, it is for editing. The moderator intended to quote the post because it was funny, and instead he hit the modify button. He backed out, but too late because it showed as edited. I've done it many times myself, but the "edited by" didn't show up until after the software upgrade. In other words...
IT WAS AN ACCIDENT
Really folks...in the 2 years or so of this forum, there has been so little moderation it isn't worth mentioning. It seems that since the events of the other day, it's a little hyper in here. Would everyone just please relax? I find that most of these type of things are either misunderstandings or just plain accidents. If you have questions or concerns, a PM to me or one of the mods can usually clear it up without causing unnecessary forum drama.
Having stated, I am going back to that thread to once again remove all the posts associated with the mixup. Why? We hope the candidate will come and answer questions,a nd it isn't fair to her to have to meet that kind of stuff.
