Anyone into PC Gaming?

If so, what are some good easy games to start with these days? I haven't been into gaming for a really long time and even then wasn't really that much into it.

I'm looking for first person shooter type games and racing/driving games (all Windows PC based). I don't want anything that requires reading a book to figure out how to play (nobody got time for that :).

Not entirely sure why but that just reminded me of Donkey Kong. I'm off to search for a PC version....

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord just early released this week, it's a sandboxy medieval fighting game where you travel around on an overmap going from town to town to recruit "peasants" for your own Army, while also completing quests with said army. You start by hunting down roving bands of "looters" whereupon you enter into a FPS style battlefield to fight using weapons of your choosing as well as real time command your troops. It has elements of older games along with newer up to date graphics and play styles. It's not for everyone but can pass the time quickly. I'd suggest watching someone like CohhCarnage on twitch play it (family friendly) to see if it's your cup of tea. I'm more into the technology behind games than playing them myself these days, but this looks like a fun one.

NERD!!

Played that a lot when the kids were into it. Wanted to know what they were doing. Got up to level 90 mining, 85 smithing. Oldest still plays a bit when bored.
I got up to combat 103 with most of my other skills over 90, I spent many late night hours playing that game. May have to see if I can even still log on.

I'm apparently not a dedicated gamer yet. I've had this shiny new gaming PC for about a week and have played less than 30 minutes of games. Part of the problem is my cat. She gets on it and spends hours upon hours watching cat YouTube videos.
