Biden refuses to say whether he'd expand the Supreme Court if he wins

He can't say no or all the democrats would be against him. He can't say yes or that would give Trump more ammo to hit him.

Packing the court has to be the dumbest idea ever. Let's say Biden wins, the dems take over the senate and expand SCOTUS to 13 giving the left a 7-6 majority. Do they not think the republicans won't just expand it more when they have power again? Pretty soon you'll see headlines like this: "In 31-30 decision, SCOTUS decides...."

Apparently Romney hasn't decided yet but is going to meet with republican leaders tomorrow. Someone should tell Trump to lay off the Romney bashing for a few weeks.

Chris Wallace will undoubtedly bring the SCOTUS issue up in the first debate. It will be interesting to see how Biden answers questions on this. One thing about Wallace, he will bring up what Biden has said about SCOTUS vacancies as a senator, then as VP, and most recently as a candidate. A question like, "While a US Senator in 1992, in a Democratic majority Senate you opposed President George HW Bush's SCOTUS nominee citing it was an election year and the next president should select. In 2016, an election year you said a Republican majority Senate should not hold up President Obama appointing a new SCOTUS. Now as a presidential running mate, you stated the appointment should not be made until a new president is elected. Don't you think it's apparent you believe only a president belonging to the Democratic Party should have the right to appoint a new justice during an election year?"

And we'd have to build them a new courthouse with more offices and pay those salaries for life...

Last time the court was packed it was a disaster. Afterwards factions on both sides campaigned for a Constitutional amendment setting the number of justices at 9. I wish that would have gone through, but it was killed by those who believed we would never be in such a position and act as irresponsibility again.
