People have abused the racism charge to where it doesn't have nearly the meaning it should anymore.

Sad, really.

I'm just thankful he had a cam. Otherwise his career could be ended before it even started. The officer was professional, apologetic when everything checked out, and still did his job.

And the fireman was saying, it's alright.
I guess he didn't feel it was discrimination until someone told him.

Stuff like this reminds me of that old hooker joke.
A lady of the evening goes to cash a check a client has given her.
The bank teller says the check is no good, there is no money in the account.
The lady yells, "You mean I've been raped?"

All was good until there was no money.

I get SO tired of this crap. If I heard it in IA once, I heard it a thousand times. If I'm IA Commander, I tell that "complainant" to pound sand. Is it supposed to get to the point where an officer can't even question a person because they are black? C'mon!

It was so dark in there, you couldn't even see a white guy for heaven's sake. He had his license and I.D. card. I'm surprised they don't issue "race cards" to the black community so they can just present them.

And yes, the guy said "No Problem" and there was no problem. The officer was professional, courteous and respectful. I would come REAL close to telling that complainant to SHOVE IT up his racist ass.

Sigh, I know what you mean.

The thing that is MOST outrageous to me about this whole circumstance is how the fireman dragged his children into it. And then tried to blame THAT on the policeman, too!

If that hosedragger isn't punished in some fashion, shame on his department.

They won't punish him because he's black. They'll be afraid if they discipline him, he'll throw down the race card again.

In Georgia he could potentially be facing a civil suit. Not sure if California law allows for that or not.
