Braves 2022

Braves struggling with the main team they need to beat the Mets. Braves bats have gone silent with a couple of exceptions. Still a long way to go but Braves are slumping a little after the AS break. Nothing to worry about this early. Anderson sent down to AAA assignment after an awful outing this series.

The Dodgers and Freddie Freeman are doing exceptional...I'm having buyers remorse over the Matt Olsen deal. Sure he hits a lot of doubles, but we need better than that.

Also, our catcher d'Arnaud was wearing a boot after the big collision at home plate on Saturday. I'm wondering what that's all about.

You've gotta give credit to Mets pitchers Max Scherzer and Jacon DeGrom... those guys were making the Braves look like the Bad News Bears this weekend.
 
No issues with Freeman trade. Olson is hitting clutch and for percentage. I will take batting average over the long ball any day. Freddie made his bed. Braves offense anemic on the East coast swing. Acuna, Ozuna, d'Arnaud need to hit with consistency. Riley, Swanson, Olson carried the offense thru July time for some of these other guys to contribute. Rosario has warmed up lately.
 





Wow....this is potentially risky given he's only been in the majors for a few months. But it could also be a genius move if he continues to play like he is now.
 
They are making the right moves on paper for sure. This guy has been impressive and has a good attitude. I am concerned about Swanson. The club has a load of second basemen (when healthy) and this Grissom kid is actually a short stop. I think Dansby is a great asset to the club I hope they don't overlook him. He is a leader, a local and a fan favorite. Olson is a beast and Riley is having MVP season. Acuna likes to run, he likes it too much, picked off twice last night. Sorry this kid needs an attitude adjustment. Tons of talent, tons of attitude. JMO.
 
With Ozzie Albies on the injured list, this kid Grissom has really shined...I'm wondering if Albies will be traded when he's healthy. Also, relief pitcher Luke Jackson should be back healthy next season. I'm wondering if the Braves will cut him loose as well.

It would be nice to keep Dansby, but he's a free agent after this year and may be determined to see what he can get in the free agent market. He is also represented by the same agency (not same agent) that represented Freddie Freeman, so there may not be as much open communication as with other agencies.

Grissom is looking great so far. Albies is signed to the most team-friendly contract ever in MLB (7 years for $35millon total plus 2 option years), so I doubt they trade him anytime soon unless he just completely forgets how to play the game.
 



Given his history and poor baseball performance this year, wouldn't surprise me if the Braves dump him this time. He is owed lots of money though.

Yikes this guy is trouble. He has been under performing and some of his rituals especially at the plate seem a bit psychotic. I have been on Acuna for under performing but I agree between the two Ozuna needs to go. Bad medicine.

Guy plays great, give him a long term big contract,
He falls flat on his butt and gets thrown off and laughs as he collects the money.

Who was that pitcher they signed for 10 million that only played 1 game or so?
