Braves 2022

Yeah, but it is just a guaranteed wildcard spot. They can't seem to overtake the Mets.

They just lost to the Phillies. :(
 
I think that if I were a member of the Braves that year, I would have passed on that trip. When I retired from the Army, my retirement certificate was signed by Obama. That went into the trash. I did get letters from Sonny Perdue and Saxby Chambliss congratulating me on my retirement. I have those framed and hanging on the wall.

Kenley Jansen as closer at times has been sharp, but at other times has given away the lead and / or lost the game. I like Tyler Matsek and even A J Minter. I'm also hoping Luke Jackson can come back in 2023 and be as good as he was last year. Elbow surgery is a career ender for some guys, but others come back and do very well. They've got 7 games left and could possibly win 100 games for Coach Snitker this year... In either case, Chop on Braves, Let's win the division!!! and then The National League Title and then WIN THE WORLD SERIES!!!!

Wow what a great sweep by the Braves. The two through five batting slots put on a power hitting clinic. The nine spot seems to be a hot slot too. I bitch about the bullpen so I will admit the middle inning relief has been good as of late. Minter still makes me nervous and Jansen is destroying my liver one appearance at a time. Starting pitching has been good but Morton started off shaky. The starters need to get deeper in the innings. Part of that could just be the Mets are really good hitters.
 
After the Braves won last night, Dansby Swanson was interviewed by ESPN and I'll have to admit, I was impressed. He's very well spoken and extremely knowledgeable. Chop chop
