Breaking News - Car reported stolen with child inside (Lithonia)

LITHONIA, Ga. - Police responded Tuesday morning to New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, where they said a car was stolen with a young child inside.

DeKalb Police said the owner of the car had left her 2-year-old child in the car when she went inside to work-out at the gym in the complex. They said the car was reported stolen with the child inside.

Seriously? I just don't understand people who think it is ok to leave a child in an unattended car................EVER! I wouldn't even leave mine in the car while I ran back inside in my own drive way. Just never know when someone is creeping around. Just don't get it

People have brought up a few good points. She has a paper tag, does that mean it was bought recently? Why would you buy a van (recently) with a broken window? Apparently plastic is covering the window. Did anyone see the little girl prior to this? Do we know she was in the van?

I try to keep my comments on these stories to a minimum, because otherwise, I will go into gory detail about what I think should be done to people who don't properly value children as the treasures they are. Something sounds hinky here, but I'm guessing we'll hear about it soon enough. Praying that the Lord watches out for that baby, whatever is going on.
