Commission to Study Expansion of US Supreme Court

I'm willing to bet this commission ends up saying there is a need to expand the SCOTUS. They were most likely given the desired outcomes the powers behind the curtain gave them when they each were appointed.

When this was discussed in 1937, there was little support for it, even though support for the New Deal was more widespread. A "defection" of sorts of two justices made the point moot, but many in Congress and the public discussed either a law pegging it at 9 or a Constitutional amendment. It was decided that nobody would ever be that power hungry and short sighted again. So here we are.

Then the next time there is a republican POTUS, they won't have to create a commission. They can just go about expanding it to regain control
This was one of the main practical arguments against expansion. The other was slowing the process. Unlike early expansions of the court, single justices do not issue "final" rulings( you could always appeal to the full court however, like in the current circuit courts). You will hear Biden bring these early expansions up, as they matched the number of judicial circuit courts of appeal. It will sound almost logical to the man in the street.

The line between separation of powers is growing thinner and thinner. Agree or not the absolute abuse of executive orders over the last twenty years has weakened this line immensely. Both parties are guilty. If they expand SCOTUS for strictly political gains your grandchildren will be living in a socialist second/third world country. It is a bastardization of the Constitution.
