Covid is right here, and it's getting bad fast.

Went to Arby's for lunch today (5 classic RB Sandwich for $5 today only) and interestingly found that they had closed their dining room again. I ate inside in Jan sometime and from the number of people that drove up to try to go inside, they must of closed it not long ago. I'd love to know if it's the rising numbers of cases that caused it, or they just found that too few people came inside to eat to make it worth while or all the restaurant rules were too expensive to make it worth while.

I'm getting really, really, tired of eating in the truck, so I guess Arby's gets marked off my list of lunch places...

I don't know about Arby's, but I know we do not have our swimming pool open or our public restrooms because, per Kalifornia, we would have to make reservations so that only one family at a time was using the pool, and completely sanitize anywhere the guest touched, sat etcetera, which would require a full time attendant. The restroom the same thing, complete clean each time someone used it.

Most public places have their bathrooms closed here. You better go to the bathroom before you get in the car... remember mom always asking if you had gone before she took you anywhere?

Glad I'm an old guy in GA not CA, 'cause we gotta go, when we gotta go if you know what mean.

I do, my owner, and our general contractor for our remodel start in the bathroom, and end in the bathroom anytime they are on property. They are in their 70's.

Here in Bushnell, FL, there are not a lot of fast food places. It's a small town. But, as far as dining rooms, they are all open except for KFC/Taco Bell. The open dining room fast food places are: Arbys (in the Love's truck stop), Beef O'Bradys, Sonny's BBQ, Burger King, McDonalds, Wendy's, Subway (in the Shell gas station). There is also Hungry Howie's Pizza, and Pizza Hut, but they are take out only. Oh, and the Chinese place in the strip shopping center is open for dine in, but they only have 4 tables. KFC/Taco Bell has recently opened their lobby for counter sales, but you have to get your food to go.

Last time I was in Bushnell, it didn't have a traffic light. Are the Yankees corralling the rednecks into an ever decreasing area of land or something.

It's still pretty redneck here, even with the Yankees around during the winter. (We're considered northerners since we are from way up there in Paulding County, GA). And Bushnell has 6 traffic lights now.

My wife and I were discussing this pandemic mess earlier tonight. The CDC guidelines still require those who are vaccinated to continue wearing a mask when out in public. This is too encourage those who are not vaccinated to continue wearing masks in public to reduce the spread of covid. I told my wife I'm going to order me some T-shirts that say, "I'm not wearing a mask 'cuz I'm vaccinated." We also discussed how J&J's vaccine is only 66% effective. I don't think the FDA should have approved it to be dispersed because it's a low effective rate; especially since the first vaccination of Moderna is 84% effective. I think as time goes on, we will see reports that a single dose of Moderna is more effective than that and only one will be necessary.

I think will see a lot less mask wearing when we have 75-80% of the population vaccinated. The big question is will that many do it? I'm seeing a lot of people saying they won't get a vaccination because they don't think covid is real or the vaccination also has a tracking device that allows the government to track your every move. One thing is for certain; I have seen a lot more stupidity, selfishness, and rage since this pandemic started.

It's a miracle!!

California plans to drop its tier system and open up the state June 15 if vaccine supply remains steady and coronavirus metrics continue to decline, officials said Tuesday. Everyday activities will be allowed and businesses will open with "common-sense risk-reduction measures," state Health and Human Services Secretary Dr. Mark Ghaly said.

"Our hospitalizations have been steadily decreasing for months," he said. "We have consistently low and improving metrics."

In New York City, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced the launch of mobile vaccination teams armed with one-shot, Johnson & Johnson vaccines that will target some of the hardest-to-reach New Yorkers. The vans and buses will be equipped with four to six vaccinators each, bringing doses to communities most in need, including neighborhoods identified by the city’s Task Force for Racial Inclusion and Equity as being hardest-hit by the virus and histories of socio-economic disparity.
