Covid is right here, and it's getting bad fast.

I've been fighting with WellStar most of the day about getting the shot. Apparently, you don't get the shot at the hospital, you get the shot at your WellStar doctor's office by appointment,,, but not just any doctor, but your WellStar PCP and 4 Urgent Care Centers. My PCP is not WS so my WS specialists tell me to make an appointment with Urgent Care, but they force you to use the online system which decides your priority based on medical history. I sign on to the online system to make an appointment only to find out again you have to have a WS PCP!!! Back and forth with messages (none of these folks seems to have a telephone), try this, try that,,, nothing works. We know healthy people who have gotten the shot from WS while us at risk elderly folks get the run around. We are on the list at the Health Dept.(the only other place I know that has it). and if I go there to get this thing, there is going to be a crap load of WS doctors fired in February!!!

My parents at the assisted living facility are scheduled to get the first shot next Tuesday but my PIL are on the same boat. Some Kroger ingles and Publix Pharmacy are supposed to have it but the web sites to sign up are half baked. My wife’s SIL has been trying to get my PIL signed up for 3 days now with no luck.

Supposedly in Kalifornia there was a spike from everyone ignoring the governor and going to Thanksgiving at their family...
They had to lock us back down for our own good due to the "horrible spike" in cases. Only essential workers are allowed to leave their house, no open anything except grocery stores because of the spike. Curfew
from 10PM to 5AM.
Read the line... no spike, all downhill... You don't think Nancy and Gavin would lie to us... do you?
Thanksgiving day shows 1.12 and it never goes up it slides down lower every day after Thanksgiving?????

Its really interesting that many of the Blue states suddenly started getting better once the election was passed and they had no need to blame Trump for a failure to contain the virus. Playing politics with a life/death situation really pisses me off. Too bad your average liberal can't seem to see this.

There are so many groups who for their own purposes, are trying to scare the seniors into not taking the shot. I'm glad to see a strong early response and I hope it keeps up. We remember when our friends didn't show up for school again, those pushing an agenda don't. I have heard some amazing horse hockey over the last couple of months. The list of those who shouldn't get the vaccine is short. If you have questions, ask your doctor.
As for the cluster that is the vaccine distribution, resources were already strained trying to treat Covid patients. There just isn't a huge reserve if people and time to vaccinate. Remember the seen and the unseen. Keep trying.

Add me to the list of positive tests, along with my Dad and Mom in the Assisted living. I guess we didn't get them in their in time.
