Today is day 9 of my sickness. I was feeling somewhat better Saturday, but Sunday yesterday and so far this morning, still crappy. My nose is going to fall off, and I'm pretty sure one of my lungs is still in bed upstairs. And there is sandpaper in my throat.

Someone shoot me.

I'll never go to the CVS Minute Clinic again, either.

That is all. I just wanted y'all to know I am miserable.
 
I'm sorry you're feeling so bad...

The CVS Minute Clinic must be another term for Obamacare. :'(
 
She looked in my nose and at my throat an told me it was a viral upper respiratory infection, and she couldn't give me anything for it. She said to some OTC Mucinex. That stuff is some expensive worthless junk. I think I'm going to call my regular doc. Or go to the immediate care and see if they'll give me a shot.

I am done.
 
I'm sorry you're not feeling well.

I've never had much luck with going to anything less than my real doctor.
 
I don't blame you. Believe it or not....as a kid living in small town Ohio in the 70's, our doctor actually came by our house and gave me a shot.

Imagine a doctor doing that these days ::)
 
I'm sick and so are those I work with. We all have sore throats, congestion (chest and nasal), and coughing. We've had this now for a week.

Oh, honey - I had that exact same thing five or six weeks ago. I WAS MISERABLE!!! Mine hit so fast and was so awful that I KNEW it was something more than a virus. I'm not big on antibiotics, so last winter when I had what I figured was a cold (and turned out to be), my dr. had called in some antibiotics with the narcotic cough syrup I had requested (because I couldn't sleep for coughing). But I never took the antibiotics. So this time, I remembered I had them and popped them after about 36 hours of sheer misery, and I immediately started to feel better. I'd say if you're on Day 9, it's more than a virus. Will your dr. call you in meds? Either way, I hope you feel better soon. I HATE feeling miserable, AND you have a baby, AND it's Christmas! I'll pray for you to feel better mondo quickly. :( :love

Same here. I was better Saturday too and by Sunday it started coming back and I am just miserable again. I am down to my last box of Puffs from a 6 pack! It is all in my head though and my doc said there is not much to do, but rest and get lots of fluids. Rest, the week of Christmas? I told hubby and son, sorry, but I doubt there will be stocking stuffers. I just can't get out and get them. I managed all the big stuff, but it took days of going out, coming home resting, and going again. :( Luckily son is helping out with cleaning and wrapping some of the stuff for me. (I am not even caring that it looks like a two year old did it!)

Same here. I was better Saturday too and by Sunday it started coming back and I am just miserable again. I am down to my last box of Puffs from a 6 pack! Lol! I had to go shopping today. I was gone 4 hours and got one thing. So, I'm going to go to Kroger and get everyone gift cards.

ShoeDiva, I hope you feel better soon, too. It sounds like we have the same thing. I found some antibotics upstairs that I took this morning and I will again tonight. I'm actually feeling a bit better, though I could use a nap, lol.

Just FYI. When the doctor prescribes an OTC, look at the active ingredient. Most of the time you can get the store brand, and it will do the same thing, and is a lot less expensive. Mucinex is Guafinasion (sp). Just look for the active ingredient. Oh, that stuff really does work.

Doesn't matter how sick I am, I get cabin fever and I HAVE to get out. I have got up with a 103 fever, took a shower, and went to Home Depot just to walk around and fondle the tools for awhile. Then I go back home and die.
