Gardening!

Thank you, Madea. I will check out this site right away. I am going to start my seeds this coming weekend. :)

My tomatoes are already about 5 inches tall. I like to start mine early, I want them to be BIG when I plant them. Looks like I'm going to have quite a few extra Rutgers.

Gardner's Supply is a great site!! Once you find what you want, jump over to Amazon and see how they compare in price. ;)

Don't forget I have lots of seeds to share. Tell me what you want and I'll let you know if I have them. ;)

I will probably just plant tomatoes, different peppers, etc for salsa. I had cilantro, basil, and sage last year. I'd like to do those herbs again.

I did a lot of different lettuces last year, but planted those too late and didn't get a whole lot. But I like to plant salad stuff too, so we can have fresh salads. We did a corn patch at my Dad's house last year. That did pretty good. Broccoli didn't do too well, but I think that was to late too.

I'm going to start some seeds this weekend--tomato, peppers, basil and zinnias. This year I'm sticking with heirloom seeds because I want to learn how to save seeds from year to year.

If you're going to save seeds, keep in mind you should only have one type of plant. If you plant several different varieties of the same thing, they will cross polinate and you won't get the seed to come back "true". So plant only one type of tomato and one type of pepper unless you have a lot of space in between them, I mean like a football field apart. :)

Thanks, Naturegirl! You saved me from a big mistake. :love I bought two different varieties of heirloom tomatoes. We have an acre, so I might be able to open up a tomato place on the opposite end of the yard, but I would never have thought of it!
