Georgia unemployment falls into single digits

Good. Even with the spike I think that Kemp and Georgians themselves are doing a better than average job with the reopening. I really hope that we don't have to take any steps backwards.

Agreed. There's a lot of hate for Kemp out there too, even among many who lean right. I realize he doesn't speak well, but he's mostly done good things since governor.

And I still think the spike is mostly due to testing. We're finding out a whole lot of people have the COVID and are asymptomatic.

I don't even look at number of cases. The only thing that is even remotely comparable across time is number of hospitalizations. That doesn't rely on testing or new treatments. Hospitalizations are up nationwide and in Georgia. Just like before it's our job to keep these at a manageable level.
 
Even the Hospitalization count has it's issues:

From the Ga site: (Bold is mine)

Hospitalizations: This number includes the confirmed COVID-19 cases that were hospitalized at the time the case was reported to DPH or when the case was interviewed. This number does not capture hospitalizations that occur after a confirmed case was reported and, as such, is likely an underestimation of actual hospitalizations. It does not represent the number of COVID-19 cases currently hospitalized.
 
GA population is approx 10.6 million. # of tests is up to 961,054 including both types. So we've still tested less than 10% of the population of the state over a 4 month period.

Also over 5% of the cases in GA have been non-residents. Who knows how many of the local cases are related to those bringing it in.

Lock the New Yorkers in New York!
 
Here's a comforting thought: How can we accurate count votes across the country when we can't even get Covid counts correct in one state?
