On Tuesday I sent some minor adjustments to Brighton and was told that they would doing the print layout in one or two weeks. The paperback will then be available just days after that. It's been a little frustrating because I first told everyone July, then had to fall back to August.
Brighton are great folks to work with and I understand how delay's work. The FLBlueNow magazine was supposed to publish the short story version of Code of Misconduct in July, but that was also delayed. It is their first Florida publication and they are having to wait for a few more advertisers to come on board. They are going to also publish the short version in their New York and New Jersey magazines, but told me they wanted to have it their debut magazine for Florida first.
It's been a LONG waiting game, but I expect to be announcing the availability of the print edition in the next two weeks. From what I've learned with the eBook, even when it is made available, it takes about a week or so for it to be available everywhere. First will be Amazon, then Barnes & Noble, then other outlets.
I'll have a lot of work to do when it comes out, in addition to what the publisher will be doing. I've been told to expect a 3 hour teleconference with Brighton in the next week or so to go over all that stuff. In the end, we will have invested approximately 2 and a half years in the project........Whew! :faint
