I\'m Really Ticked Off!

Over the weekend, I ordered some flowers online from 1800Flowers to be delivered on Monday the 9th. When they didn't get delivered, I sent them an email to inquire as why. They apologized and said they would have them delivered on the 10th and I told them that would be ok as she would be home all day. They didn't get delivered then either. I sent them another email to let them know. They replied their local florist claims they had made several failed attempts to telephone the recipient to find out a good time to deliver them. What part of, "she will be home all day" did they not understand? The "recipient" did not receive one single phone call from the local florist.

I will never use 1800Flowers again. I'll stick with FTD, whom I have never had a problem with.

Well, that would hack me right off, too!!! NO EXCUSE for poor service. People who deal with remote businesses like that need to be sure said remote businesses provide the level of service they require. I trust you got a refund?

:( I am surprised they did not offer you your money back immediately. I order from 1800Flowers at least once a month (for husbands employees, someone is always giving birth, retiring, or having a death in the family) and have only had an issue once. It was the local florist that was messing up and giving bad info to me and 1800Flowers, but it was made right (by 1800flowers) and my money returned.

Forgot all about this topic. The problem was the local florist they were using. Unfortunately, if I were to order flowers from them again to send to my GF, they would still use them. Small town, one florist. FTD on the otherhand uses a florist in Gainesville for that area.

The last, and only time that happened to me, they delievered them a day late, but refunded my money. That would tick me right off too! :Stick

I think 1800 deals with any/every florist in an area where FTD is actually particular about who they use. We've had problems in the past with a florist for this area through 1800. Not at all surprised that the florist is no longer in business.

This should teach you a lesson..............Never send flowers to a woman.

Though I agree. Flowers are a waste of money. They are expensive and die too fast. A plant is good though!

Exactly what I told hubby when we first got together. He pays attention, too ... such a good boy. He has given me flowers only 2 times in our 12+ years together. April 9, 2000 and Feb 16, 2006.

Yeppers.

I try to use a local florist. Usually pull them up on the net. I got burned using an on line service only once. That is why I order from locals myself now and I do ask for reports on how the arrangement turned out.
