I need ideas

I enjoy sewing but I am sooooooo over making purses and stockings and pet mats. I don't want to make girlie boutique stuff. There are already lots of other folks making that stuff. I need something new to make. I'm making some busy/fidget aprons for dementia/alzheimer's patients but there's only so large of a market or demand for those. I need new ideas.

I have enjoyed some quilted throws that I bought recently. One is an Alabama (roll tide) throw with beautiful blocks quilted in the 4 corners. It wasn't cheap though. Got it as a Christmas gift for Hubby. Love the little woman who holds my plastic bags in her skirt. Got her at the last craft event at Paulding Meadows.

Check out www.mysewingcircle.com. LOTS of free patterns. I do almost all of my sewing for gifts. (I'm slow and only sew for those I love! LOL) Right now I'm doing baby gifts. I also absolutely LOVE www.TipNut.com. Ideas for ALL kinds of things there. I google "free patterns" all the time.

I love my zippered makeup bags. Have you ever thought of doing something like that out of fabric? Kinda like catch all bags. Kids could put toys in them etc...

I have been looking for political baby gear. For example, I want a onesie that says "Littlest TEA Partier" on it but I can't find anything remotely like that. Mose poitical baby stuff is silly. One said my Republican Mommy Can Beat Up Your Democratic Mommy (while true, I don't want little Baby B promoting violence, LOL)

I make iron on transfer tshirts alot..I have made some baby onesie's before that say things like Daddy's little princess, Mommy's little man, 1st birthday etc. They are very easy to do. Make one with your little saying on it or if you don't find one, I'll make one for ya =)

yes you can buy the transfers at Michaels or hobby lobby. I recommend only buying the june tailor brand. The others break or crack on the tshirt and don't last through several washings. Yes I create them on the computer and when I'm doing baby items you just have to remember to shrink the design. I'll show ya a design in a sec..I'll post a pic

yep that's what we mom's do..haha

there are tshirt print shop software you can purchase online or at stores. Walmart has a couple. They come with all kinds of clip art and stuff you can use to design your tshirt.

Walmart (and other fabric stores) have that fabric. However, last time I as at Walmart the republican was sold out. Plenty of democrat though. LOL
