This was posted on FB from Paulding sheriff so thought I would pass along incase anyone hasn't seen it
Important Weather Update 04/27/2011
There is a Moderate/ High Risk for Paulding County for this evening and tonight for Severe Weather. Special notice is being applied to this storm. Super Cell Thunderstorms will develop and push through the area. Currently, the time line for the worst weather is 9 pm to 12 am. However storm development can occur any time until then due to the instability which is in place. Following the passing of the system, the threat for the area will greatly diminish. The following is the most current information from the NWS which was briefed on a conference call today:
* Tornados will be likely. These will be long lived and will remain on the ground in long durations (also known as Long Tracking Tornados)
* Destructive Winds in excess of 70 mph.
* Large Hail greater than 2 “in diameter.
* Frequent Cloud to Ground
* 1-2 inches of rainfall.
Everyone should check their Weather Radio to ensure they are in “Alert Mode” and listen for further Watches and Warnings pertaining to these storms. Please be prepared to go to your safe place in the event there is a Warning issued for our area.
