She wanted a lot of pet project funding that had absolutely zero to do with helping people and economic recovery in a bill to do both. Now that Schumer is claiming the bill in the Senate was a partisan effort, Nancy appears to be backing down. What's not surprising about Schumer though is that he's giving Democrats the credit for what the Republicans put in the Senate bill. Freakin' Democrats.

The Kennedy Center is getting $25M, down from the $35M in the House version. The Senate bill also provides $75 million to each the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities. That is down from the $300 million for each that was in the House stimulus bill. Although these items are not getting as much as Pelosi wanted; it still pisses me off they are getting what they are. Yes, I am pissed at the Republicans in the Senate for allowing these in there.
 
It's a no win situation as long as the MSM is in the democrats corner. If they stood fast the democrats would dig in and accuse the repubs of not negotiating in good faith, and that would be the lead stories, not that they were adding pork and blackmailing the country in a time of emergency. The news media/propaganda mongers in this country need to be throttled.
