Are they getting bills from the providers? I have a contact who can get it cleared up. You can send me the information, and I will forward it to him.

"If any one on the page is having trouble with Choice Payments please PM me. I can get them taken care of, I was lucky to meet a gentleman who works in Central Office that has a team of people just waiting for your claim information. Please PM me with name and contact information and I will forward it to him. This is not a joke, I will ask the Veteran that he already contacted to say something if he wants. Will the mystery Veteran please verify

:) Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night."

I have not used Choice. I have read a lot of things written by veterans who have and VA has made it a pain to use. From my understanding, you have to receive prior approval from VA before you can even use it, unless it's a life or death situation. I have heard it's very difficult to even get approval. If approval is given, VA often disputes paying or they take months to pay.

There are a whole ton of rules, but if they are having problems getting to see a doctor they must contact the patient advocate at the hospital.
I know it's a pain to deal with the VA, and maybe because I can be a pain that is why my husband hasn't had many issues with his care.
I'll see if I can get the information on who too contact at the VA.

Many veterans live quite a distance from a VA clinic or hospital. When someone may have pneumonia, bronchitis, or a severe case of the flu and calls the VA clinic; they aren't going to get an appointment to see a doctor that day or the next. They are given two options: go to the clinic and sit there all day and hope a doctor can fit you in, or go to the ER at a VA hospital that could be a couple of hours drive away and sit there all day. It's a pathetic situation to put veterans in, especially if they are elderly as the flu, pneumonia, and bronchitis can kill them if untreated.
