So I went to a Evening wedding in Lower Alabama ... lets just say an evening wedding there does not mean the same as a evening wedding here...

Lets just say it was a sight lol

This thread needs stories AND pictures. :tapfoot2 (not the cute ones of you and Chad...the "good" pictures! I know you had to have taken some. hee hee)

i did but Chad deleted them... he said he didn't want them on FB to hurt anyones feelings, I told him I would never post them on FB...just the Hwy rofl

Well it all started when the bridal mark came on and you heard pop pop pop pop pop pop pop

Yep, the bride and all her brides maids wore FLIP FLOPS

Then the walk out song was Sweet Home Alabama and when it got to certain parts most the people in the church threw up a fist and sung Roll Tide Roll

we got to eh reception and the bride kicked off her flip flops and went bare foot. When they went to take the groom taking off the guarder picture the bottom of her feet were SOOOOOO dirty and black.

But they only did the one dance and then you did not see them together at all until it was time to cut the cake and the groom disappeared again and wasn't even there to do the last dance.. he was drinking and smoking outside with his friends.

then our wedding favors were a heresy's kiss and hug in a clear plastic spoon with white mesh and tied with a ribbon to keep it in the spoon and a note that said hugs and kisses from the groom

one of the groomsmen did not take his dip out ever!!!!

Lawd

Did you wear your good blue jeans and nascar t-shirt? (You know you're supposed to dress appropriately for evening events in Alabama). Camoflage is always an acceptable substitute...

we figured that out with the young people... Hubby and I was way over dressed

I so wished the hubby did not delete some of the pictures... I had some funny ones

anyway here we are... he didn't delete this one

That's OK, they'll get all gussied up and go through the Drive Thru at Jacks for their first wedding anniversary.........

actually they went to Krystal's after the reception ....oh and the had a cash bar for drinks... you had to pay for tea and coke too $2.50. A glass Water and pineapple punch was free
 
:spitchick I knew there were stories! Tell hubby he is in big trouble with us for deleting the good pictures!

EWWWWWWWW. I've seen the flip-flop thing with a beach wedding. But I assume this was an indoor wedding? Ye gods. And Sweet Home Alabama? Lord, have mercy. Tackiness abides.

LOVE the part about the groomsman not taking out his dip out ever. :shakingmyhead:
 
Speaking of beach weddings, I also think formal bridal gowns are a little silly for such an occasion. I muchly prefer letting the dress fit the venue. But I've seen it all. :sigh:
