Looks like UGA will be Frommless next year

Georgia’s junior quarterback announced in a long social media post Wednesday that he is going to enter the NFL draft. He directed his message to the Bulldogs’ fans.

“I always felt your love and support,” Fromm wrote, “and I hope I mean as much to you as you do to me. This process and decision has been unbelievably difficult. But through much prayer and counsel, I have decided that it is time for me to take on my next challenge and pursue my lifelong dream of playing in the NFL.”

The question now is where Georgia turns at quarterback. Currently it has three on scholarship: junior Stetson Bennett, redshirt freshman D’Wan Mathis and early-enrollee freshman Carson Beck.

Going to be interesting to see how UGA does without Fromm at the helm. Also, I thought he looked kinda weak the last half of this year, I'm not sure I'd try to be drafted after that performance. Time will tell.

So that makes UGA, Bama, and LSU looking for new qb’s next season. My early prediction is that Clemson will take home another trophy.

I wonder how many students will think "Prom" was cancelled. I'm sure there's at least one out there other than Mike Tyson.

I don't think this as good timing from Fromm. Do you really want to be in the same draft as Burrow, Tua and Herbert? Maybe he is thinking he will go a little later and get picked up by a team that has a better program than the early pickers. I really disagree with the early exits from schools for any professional draft especially if you are on scholarship. Jake has not played at the level I hoped since his freshman year. He has been making bad decisions and over throwing a lot of open receivers. I wish him well he is a likable guy and a Georgia native.

I have no issue with a kid chasing the dream of playing at the next level. Hopefully it proves to be a positive experience for each of them. We're all familiar with those stories of complete financial and ethical ruin, hopefully they'll avoid those mistakes. These college kids are 1 injury away from that dream vanishing so I don't blame them for walking through the door while it's open. As for a college education, it can always be attained during or after the players professional career if it's a priority.
