On your smart phone, download Tapatalk. It's about $3. Install, search for DallasHwy.com, and use the forum from your phone at far faster speeds.

This app gives you text only, which makes it load far faster.

And, it will list our forum on the Tapatalk forum.

Not a fan of tat app.... It crashes a lot and kinda wigs my devices out
 
The plus is on a mobile phone. A regular site is so small on a phone and over 3G or less can sometimes take a bit to load up. With Tapatalk, you get to read the forums in an easier to read format that loads pretty quick. Honestly for me, it is mainly the easier to read format. No zooming in and out to read stuff!

GD - The hwy is an icon on my phone and when I click it automatically loads the recent unread topics. What does the tapatalk do?

Rolltide - What do you zoom in and out to read? Mine changes where on the Hwy I do not even have to scroll to the left or right (as I have to with other sites).

I am just going to have to see this, LOL! I am thinking, no I do not need it, but without seeing it I am really not sure if that is the correct decision! :))
 
I'm doing find accessing the forum from the browser. I don't see a real need for it. If it were free, maybe.
 
the tapatalk option is just that, an option. feel free to drive the Hwy in whatever way you see fit. :thumbsup
 
It was mentioned earlier in the thread that Tapatalk had some crash problems at one time.

Apparently, it did indeed. But it has been updated to fix that and seems very stable now. I've not had a single issue with it. It's very fast and easy to read on smart phones with no zooming or scrolling around necessary.

It's merely an option, but IMO well worth the $3 if you plan to surf The Hwy a lot from your smart phone. And it will work with any other Tapatalk enabled forum. You can search for other compatible forums through the app.

i brought it up cause I use to use it and it frustrated the crap out of me.... idk if I am ready to try it again lol

Well, if I had a need for one, I'd get one, but right now I'd just as soon not spend the money because a regular (aka "raglar") phone does what I need. I'm not a Luddite...I just don't need one right now. Maybe soon...
