Chatt was hit with a tornado, in the Harrison area. This afternoon, late, I had a call from my dad. He is deaf, but has the cochlear (sp?) and has a hard time on the phone so he never, ever calls. It rang one and a half times. I tried to call h back, busy signal. I called the house, busy. Called my mom, then my brother, all busy. I finally got through to my dad. I was hyperventilating. He answered, and said he didn't mean to call me, he hit the wrong button. The tornado took out the phone lines and some Verizon towers. That's why the phones were all busy.
Y'all, I have never been so scared. Even though my parents and family don't live in Harrison, at the time I didn't know where else there was damage. Anyway, they have another cell heading right toward them. It'll hit very, very soon. Please keep Hamilton County and my family in your thoughts. And watch the weather reports for tonight here.
