if you are in someones house and you get dog bit what could happen....


Let me set the story

I had my someone come to the house to pick up some stuff. I told them not to come up stairs alone cause I was dog sitting and the dog was not friendly. Well my landlords mom comes in and squats at the dog and he lets her pet him after I said not to. She gets up quickly and he felt threatened and bit her.

IDK what is gonna happen and I have that horrid pit in my stomach

my landlord is soooo not happy .... which I wouldnt be either but I warned them... I even warned them in text message.

but it happened inside the home not outside


any thoughts from the peanut gallery to help ease my stomach... lawd!!!!

I'm not a lawyer so not exactly sure how this will play; but since her son actually owns the house, a lawsuit could be interesting.

And as I recall, you're getting kicked out anyway.

I'm thinking no big deal.

i am not getting kicked out silly... they are gonna put the house on the market soon. They realized we are great renters and they cant sell there house for $300 in this economy.


so I am so stressed at the moment .. my tummy is so messed up at the moment
 
Did she go to the hospital? If she did, they'll send animal control to check the animal. If she doesn't have meds, her potential for a lawsuit goes to near nothing.
 
Your landlord is stupid. You warned them. My sister used to work at Cobb Animal Control. I can ask this question to her and find out what she says, if you want me to. I think you live in Paulding, but it should be the same.
 
no hospital... they went out to eat lol

the mom told me I was fine just as long as it doesnt get infected but knowing i did everything I needed to do makes me feel a tad bit better.

She was stupid, no doubt. You're a tad better off I'd say since the dog is not yours and you did warn repeatedly. She may still end up seeking medical care but I wouldn't lose too much sleep over it.
 
What a stupe. Tell me who she is so I can go slap her/them. Good grief. I wouldn't have any idea what to tell you, so glad everyone else weighed in. Sounds ok. But I must repeat - what a stupe. :meanface:
