Obama tries to end-around Supreme Court decision

"An insulting accounting gimmick" is what some people are calling it. The administration has proposed new rules for companies like Hobby Lobby. If they object to "providing" coverage for certain mandated contraceptive or abortion inducing drugs on religious grounds, then they are to notify their insurer. That insurer is then responsible for providing the coverage to employees anyway, but at "no cost" to the company. SMH

Is there nothing this administration will not do?
 
Because he's still making it easy to get free stuff. Most people vote with their wallets, this is another example of why people will support it.

Although the cost of the items may not cost the company money in the current year it will in fact cost them upon renewal.

I have spent the past two weeks dealing with our company group health insurance renewal so needless to say I've have enough of it for awhile. Number one, I dumped our current insurance broker for allowing us to get within a week of renewal without it being finalized. We moved to ADP insurance services since we use them for our payroll service as well. I'm also looking at moving our business liability insurance to them to get a bundled rate if I can negotiate a deal with them.

I HATE DEALING WITH INSURANCE RENEWAL.

So you come into my store wanting to buy apples. Apples cost me 10 cents apiece and I sell them for 20 cents. Suppose now that Moochelle says that everyone must buy apples, and must leave the store with apples AND oranges or I, the grocer, will be arrested and fined. You tell me you don't want those oranges because your religion forbids them and are not going to pay for them, even though they cost me 10 cents and I sell them for 20 cents too. What will I do? You must leave my store with apples and oranges or I'm out of business and under arrest.

I'll tell you what I will do. I will not bill you for the oranges, but I will charge you 40 cents apiece for the apples, that's what I will do, and you can't do anything about it because the government will arrest you for not buying apples. Want to go to another store? They are under the same mandate. We all charge the same here in the government run "marketplace". That's the insulting accounting gimmick.
