Please Take Note...Business has MOVED!!!

Scooby

The Lawn Mower Repairman!!
You know the old saying, "if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is"...well, not only was it a fiasco, fraught with deception and crooked dealings, me and my partner were being taken advantage of like I have never seen in my 40 years of doing business. I am not going to use any names, to avoid slander and liable, but I can tell you this- I saw first hand why mower mechanics get a bad wrap. I found myself caught up in a world of junk dealing, inflated prices, and everything you would expect from a crooked salesman.

In an effort to save face and maintain my reputation as a fair and honest businessman, I decided to distance myself from this as quickly as possible. Those of you who know me and have used my services over the past several years can understand where I am coming from. To be honest, I was leary from the start when this deal was initially brokered, then when the rules of the initial deal changed from day to day, I knew something nefarious was afoot. Well, the crap hit the fan this evening, so I am pulling out. I will resume business as my initial mobile service immediately, once I get all of my equipment moved back into my own place...shouldn't be more than 2 days, maybe 3. I will probably rent a shop in Villa Rica (the guy has been begging me to bring my business there for almost a year now). But, during the off season, I'll just stick to mobility service and rebuilt equipment sales to make it through the winter months.

Sorry about this folks....I learned a valuable lesson in the process- I should always trust my own judgement, and shy away from wheeler and dealers who take advantage of the good people of this county. I will never again be duped into something like this again. I provide a service to my community, not in an effort to get rich by deceptive practices, but only to make enough to pay my bills and eat a decent meal. I have other ways to make money (music, comp repair, etc.) And it can be done by abiding by good business practices, helping others, and providing clean, honest service. That's my creedo,a nd will always be.

Thank you all for your support over the past few years. I am still here to serve you and take good care of you.

I don't have any idea what went down, but I'm truly sorry it didn't work out for you. It seemed like a good deal. I'll continue to pray that you will be blessed beyond measure!

Sorry to hear this Glenn. I too have been taken by bad "business" people. All you can do is learn from your leasons and move on.

I second that!

Thank you folks. But, to be frankly honest with you, I am very HAPPY. I have missed my original shop so much the entire time I was at the new place. I have so much more equipment here, and I can find anything I need, blindfolded. So, as Dorothy would say, "there's no place like home"!! I had already applied to have my mobile license renewed two weeks before this came about because I could see what was going on behind my back. I have eyes and ears everywhere, good people who have my back. I am very thankful for those people too.
