The Paulding County Sheriff's Office wants to warn citizens of a "police impersonator" in Paulding County.

The Paulding County Sheriff's Office wants to warn citizens to be aware of a "police impersonator" in Paulding County. Last night (07/06/12), there was a report that a black Ford Crown Victoria with a blue light on the dash stopped a vehicle in southern Paulding County. Two white males in dressed in business attire approached the driver of the vehicle. Once the two white males made contact with the lone female driver, one of the males took her wallet and they both fled the
scene.
Citizens need to be aware that if you are stopped by law enforcement you can proceed to a well lit area before you pull over. Remember to turn on your hazard lights and slow your speed below the posted speed limit. If you are still not sure it is law enforcement call 911 and confirm that it is a Paulding County Deputy.

If you have any information on the "police impersonators" please call the Paulding County Sheriff's Office at (770) 443-3010.
 
Very scary. Hopefully, the SO will understand if they suddenly get an increase in the number of people calling 911 to verify that they are being pulled over by a real officer.
 
It has often bothered me that they sell the used police cars, and will leave for instance the search light by the rear view mirrors, and other things that give the car the "police" look.

But, I guess bad guys will be bad guys whether they can buy used police cars, or just steal stuff from your home when you're not there, for instance. :rant
 
I was reading an article the other day where a new tactic is being used by gangs across the country to rape women. They have a child standing outside a shopping center or store crying say he/she is lost when a woman walks by. The child gives their address so the woman will take them home, but it's a home used by gangbangers.

The best thing to do in this situation is to call 911 and have the police come get the child.

Calling 911 to ask if the blue light behind me is indeed a police car. That is if I see a blue light behind me. :pray

What kind of moron would put a strange child in their car in this day and time? I'm guessing that's a hoax.

Megadittos on that. WAY too many things wrong with doing that. And I decided a long time ago that if I were pulled over after dark that I'd keep going to a lighted place and call 911 to tell them what I'm doing.
 
Not real sure what these two guys were up to.....but one morning I was traveling down a back road near Ridge Rd. and laying in the middle of the road were two guys......they were sorta laying around a curb and I slowed down to get a closer look and sure enough two guys laying a sleep using a back back as a pillow......I kept going and as soon as I got around the curb I thought I would back up and see if I could help...then I thought...dang...I am alone..what if they jump in my car or steal me...then what....So I called 911 and sat there to warn other drivers ..but a police came in a matter of minutes.....God only knows what those two were going to do....I am just glad that I didn't stop and ask no questions.....which that is what I normally would have done....always trying to help.....but NOT no more....LOL...BE CAREFUL OUT THERE LADIES.....
