Oh, I am so sorry.

I moved back home to help my mom... she is sooooooooo frustrating sometimes, but I remind myself I am lucky to still have her in my life. My dad passed 22 years ago. So many of my friends are now the matriarch or patriarch of their families. Wasn't so long ago that our parents were keeping us to a curfew! Time goes by too quickly.

My condolences to you in your loss... (the OP)...

My Dad lived with me the last few years of his life... it was a blessing as well as a hassle...
In the end... I am glad it worked out as it did...

Give yourself time to grieve the loss... feeling the pain is a good thing... it helps to process it (and not be emotionally stuck).
 
So this weekend threw me a curveball. My mom had to go to the hospital Friday afternoon as she started feeling bad and could not stand up. They admitted her and she has been in CCU ever since. She has a bad colon infection (one of the worst the doctor has ever seen they said) that takes time to heal. I am working from the hospital this week (the great part about being able to work remotely) so I can be here for her. She is slowly getting better but prayers are appreciated. The wife and I head out of town on Friday for Orlando so I hope things continue to improve. I hope everyone has a good week and I am hopeful my week will get better!
