So sorry to hear this. I can only imagine what Guarddaughter is going through. Hope her husband can get home soon.

Daughter is home and son in law is flying back into town. It's a sad affair, but the family will get through this together.

Thank you Guard Dad. Last week was a bit tense, and I'm still not very pleased with how my doctor handled the whole thing.

It seems that my main issue is my body is not absorbing iron? Or something. I'm being scheduled for an iron transfusion.

You tell them to get on the stick and figure this out. They have no idea who they are dealing with. Hope they find a resolution soon.
 
Per Mudflap

So, it looks like our daughter is moving back into our home.

She's 23 years old and is trying to figure out what she wants/needs to do in life.
It's going to be a challenge for all of us; she's a handful, no doubt about it.

Part of the 'deal' is that she seek out some professional help to tackle her crippling anxiety and depression.

I hope a doctor can prescribe some anti anxiety meds that work for her. It can be a tough thing to treat.

Sending prayers for Mud flap, because it is so frustrating when you can't just make someone better.

My mom over the years had become worse and worse to where she would be admitted into the emergency room several times a year due to what appeared to be a heart attack. She would get overwhelmed while on the freeway for instance, but sometimes it would happen just sitting in her living room. Paramedics would be called , they would take her to the hospital due to shallow respiration, perspiring, pale, blood pressure low, irregular heart beat, and that she had passed out.

I finally requested the doctors treat her for anxiety this December after she had been to the emergency room 4 times in a two week time period. Kaiser and the hospitals did what they always do... keep her there for a day or over night, and run tests ...loooots of tests. Instead of looking at her pattern (and theirs) ... tests with nothing that explained her symptoms. No one seemed to want to tell her it is psychological.

She is finally on some anti anxiety meds that have allowed her to get back to living her life without fear and anxiety.

Of course she did the "I'm feeling better" and stopped taking them after the first week.

We had to have a tough conversation that, no, she was not better, because she had not gotten back to driving, going to church, grocery shopping, or doing her usual activities that she enjoyed before she had the bad 2 week breakdown.

She had three stupid excuses which I had to be the ass hole and tell her that those were stupid excuses... one excuse was that she only had a prescription for 30 pills, she did not want to use them all up. :facepalm: I called BS and said the doctor gave one month's worth to see if they worked, and that she was to check back in with the doctor who would give her a continuing prescription if they were well tolerated. I told her to call the doctor tomorrow and ask for more. The doctor in fact gave her a prescription where she gets 260 at a time! BONUS... they are less than 7 cents a pill!!!!!! She has enough she can take several if she needs. The doctor said to take one in the morning, and if she feels stressed later, take another one! :grin2: :clap:

Reading some of the others, I feel guilty for even asking for this one, but I do believe in the power of prayer, so here goes.
Any prayers y’all could send for the good Lord to please ease the pain I’m having above my new right knee. The tendon and quad muscle are very painful. It’s very difficult to stand up or sit down. Please Lord ease that pain so my right knee will be strong enough to get me through the surgery on my left knee.

So sorry to hear you are in pain.:(

Prayers your pain is relieved well before the surgery, that God would take the pain away now.:pray2:
 
Prayers needed for my father in law. He has been taking care of my mother in law who tested positive for COVID. She is in the down slope of it but he has the symptoms now. He just had to go to the hospital as he was having a hard time catching his breath. We are in the car at the hospital while my wife is in there to at least do the paperwork for him. She won’t be able to see him though. This virus is a bitch.
