Prayer requests

This is not unexpected, but we suspect "She who adores me's" dad will not last much longer. He's been in kidney failure for a long time now, and he's already lived longer than the doctors said. We think God kept him around just to take care of "She who adores me's mom". Now that she is gone, he is going downhill very fast and is in hospice care. So we're expecting him to check out on us any day now.

I am very concerned about "She who adores me". I don't think she ever really processed the loss of her mother because of having to take care of her dad and the business end of things, so when he passes I fear it will hit her double hard.

Prayers and good thoughts appreciated.

Both of you have been through quite a bit this year. Sending prayers!

Sometimes I fear the same about me. I don't feel like it's really hit me completely yet. Father's day was hard, but I had my kids and my FIL that we celebrated with. This Friday is dad's birthday, so I took it off as I'm pretty sure I'll feel it then.

Just be there for her, I know I wouldn't have made it without my wife's love.

It will no doubt hit her at some point, and with her father's passing coming so soon after her mother's, but the benefit may be just one mourning for both parents. Most of us have to go through the process twice at different times and under different circumstances.
The mourning for both at once may be a silver lining if there is one at such times. Best of luck, and you are in our prayers.

"She who adores me's" dad just passed away. He went peacefully, surrounded by his daughters.
He'll be dancing with "she who adores me's" mom tonight!:love1:

Sorry for her, and the families loss... he lived to be with her, now he has passed on to be with her. It is so amazing how couples married for a life time truly can't live without the spouse, and pass quickly after losing them.

Please keep my friend Amy in your prayers. She's been in the hospital for two weeks with COVID pneumonia and she just took a turn for the worse. They may move her to ICU tomorrow. She's terrified and reaching out to me because I've been there. I'm trying to be helpful, and strong too because it's bringing back bad memories. But I need to be there for her.

I hadn’t heard that, thanks for sharing. Will definitely put her and her family on our prayer list.

:pray2:

Now they're talking about putting her on a ventilator. Poor girl is terrified!

I hate to hear that. Praying for wisdom for the doctors to help her, and healing for Amy.

Report on Amy

The doc put her back on the steroids, shouldn't have taken her off so soon. But she is doing some better. They had her wearing a nose tube and mask just to keep her oxygen levels up, now she can do with just the nose tube. But still at very high flow, so she has a long road ahead of her.
