School Bus Stop Arm Camera

The Paulding County Sheriff's Office, the Paulding County School District, and the Paulding County District Attorney's Office are teaming up to ensure the safety of our children. The Sheriff's Office, the School District, and the D.A's Office are partnering with ATS to bring the School Bus Stop Arm Camera system to Paulding County. Pictured below is Sheriff Gary Gulledge filming his portion of the PSA that will air on local television stations around Paulding County.

...cant get pic's to post..

I think this is going to be a good thing....especially in my subdivision....where everyone is ABOVE the law!

I personally think they should provide the videos on FB after they track these folks down and ticket them.

So what does this do?
Take pictures of those who do not stop when the stop arm is out?

I have to ask, is that now a big problem?
Because I don't think I have ever seen anyone go by a school bus with the stop arm out.
(but then again, I don't get out much)

In Douglas county past where Bakers Bridge turns into Dorris, a girl was killed by someone not stopping/ going around a bus. :(

I am sure that it has happened before, I was just unaware that it had become such a problem that cameras were needed.
I'm not saying they are not, I have no clue.
Hence the question.

(I like saying "hence")

Really??
That is shocking to me.
I truly cannot remember anyone ever going past a school bus with the stop arm out.
(but then again, I am told that I live in the past)

The Queen drives a school bus here in Cobb County, it's definitely a problem. She has had many close calls with kids on her bus over the last few years. It's amazing how many people think their rush to get to their destination is more important than the welfare of a kid.

Wow!
This is unbelievable to me.
I would have never thought that was a big problem.

Now you know why I live in the past, better movies, people have more common sense and I am thin with great hair.
