He we go again...thoughts and prayers will be followed by democrats screaming about gun control. The cycle repeats again and again.
Every book, TV show, Rap Song, video game and movie is filled with gun violence, yet we are shocked by the violence... our country continues to reap what has been sewn.

It will take days to find out what really happened.
Why did he shoot the grandmother? Did he have prior mental problems? Did he scare other students in school over the course of his attending public school? Did his family have problems with him? .. we may never know.
I am a strong believer many of these young people are known in the school to be mentally unstable, but they never get help, or the type of help that protects society from them.
Until we have institutions to put away people who are a danger to society and themselves, but have not committed crimes, we will continue to see these deranged individuals go out and murder people.
It is sad every time. Decades ago our society decided it no longer wanted to commit this type of individual to an institution where they belong where they will not injure themselves or others.
Getting rid of guns will not stop it... they will use a hammer, or a car, or make explosives... these are people who need to be separated from society.

That's usually my first thought, like the guy in Buffalo, but this seems to be a troubled teen that didn't fit in with others,,, and decided to make a name for himself. There are kids like that in every school system, fortunately most don't act on their impulses.
I'd be lying if I said it hasn't crossed my mind.
I've read where the shooter allegedly shot his grandmother before going to the school. I had also heard rumors the he may have been one of the immigrants brought in by Biden but that appears to be false as he was apparently a Uvalde resident who attended Uvalde HS. It appears he was a sicko who needed attention. I saw some of his previous Tweets before his account was locked. He was a young, dumb, POS.

I will tell you the schools know the troubled kids. Seriously, you very often see it in elementary school.
The schools are told to mainstream these problem children. Instead they should be given psychological counseling and place in an environment they can receive school instruction, but are not a threat to the regular children because they have skilled professionals who work with troubled youth.
No longer is a kid sent to alternative school, then when he or she is too violent and scary to be there, put in an institution.
Until and unless we go back to that, this will be common as it has been.
This shooting was devastating. Over 21 killed at this point and possible more. This is not Chicago where shootings are common place.
I understand the town is small. Everyone knows each other. The police and officials who were on scene will be terribly affected, the families will be terrible affected, the children of this school who should have been safe, will be terrible affected. The whole town will never forget the horribly evil actions of this disturbed teen.

Rumors of some disturbing things on his social media pages, but nothing yet confirmed that I am aware of.
Claims that the guy recently bought two rifles legally, of course the media is calling them assault rifles, but I have not yet seen any detaails of what type of rifles they were. Early reports said he had a hand gun and a rifle when he entered the school.

The Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed a school police officer exchanged gunfire with the suspected shooter who unleashed fatal gunfire at Robb Elementary in Uvalde.
Texas DPS confirmed to Fox News that the school officer was injured by gunfire, which allowed suspect Salvador Ramos to run inside the school and barricade himself. Ramos dropped a bag of ammunition at the entrance of the school as a result of the shootout, according to DPS.
DPS added in a comment to Fox News that three local officers were wounded during the attack.
