I gotta give this guy a plug. It's the Shoe Repair place on 92 just south of Hiram-Sudie in that strip center.

The heal came unglued from one of my dress shoes. The guy was just as helpful as could be, and charged me a whopping $2 to glue it back on.

I'm with you...I really like this guy. I just used him to repair a pair of slingbacks at the buckle because the elastic came unraveled. He fixed it.

The only problem I had was I took them in and it took me over a month to get them fixed. I picked them up on Monday because I stood there while he fixed them. Other than that...no problem and I would use him again. He only charged me $5. He didn't want to charge me nothing...but I had to pay him.
 
Oh gosh...just re-read my post. It sounds really smarty-pants. I didn't mean it like that though.
