Site changing hosts again

It is time for us to renew the agreement with our hosting provider. We have decided to move to a host that does not have some of the limitations that the current host has. Be advised that there is always the possibility of down time associated with the move. The new provider will move the site for us but nothing is ever 100% perfect . I just wanted to make sure you all knew this was a possibility. It is also possible that the backup they make and restore will not include posts you have made after that has completed. Not too much I can do about that.

Posts we make after the move might not be included?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that he meant during the move. Once the move is started anything that is posted could be lost until the forum is back up and running on all cylinders. (Back up will be made and anything posted between time of back up and completion of move would potentially be lost.)

That sort of thing can happen with a move. The only way to not lose anything would be for me to shut off access to the site until they move it. Either way I will try to find a workaround.
