Slender Man- Interrogation video released

Way back in the day, I carried a 12 year old boy to a mental health facility after he intentionally set his house on fire to try and kill his parents. At the time you could not charge someone that young with a crime of any type. The kids had a blast riding in the back seat, no remorse what so ever.

They have shown that story on 20/20 or 48 hours before - it's absolutely crazy.

This is one of those things that I don't think I want to see.
I'm too curious for my own good. I'll look stuff up, and then be sorry I did it. :BH

What became of him? Or do you know at this point?

I'd like to know family background of these psychopaths.
Me too.
You know I think some kids are left to raise themselves and understandable fail miserably. Others are taught everything wrong by example. But I think that the most sinister and demented acts are performed by children with serious mental disorders and very little that parents do could have any real effect. The fact that two of these demon children found each other at such a young age is what is profound to me.

I was thinking the same thing, but then it occurred to me that these girls found "Slender Man" online together. Forgive me if this sounds odd, but this is more than just a coincidence. They were perfect prey for that demon, as you say, to find them.

The last thing I'd heard is that one of the girls was found to be incompetent to stand trial several months ago, and that she was supposed to receive treatment so that she could. I haven't kept up with this case closely, but will be interested to see the 20/20 report on them tonight.

I agree with that. The most heinous and bizarre crimes by children I do not believe could have been prevented by the parents. I believe that they have serious mental issues. The lack of regret or empathy shown by most child killers is scary.

Really? How far back in the day was that?

LOL. :)) I really am asking because I do not remember a time when kids were not charged with a crime of any type. It has appeared to me that we hear of more children committing crimes, but is it that we are so connected or in the past they just were not even charging the child?

No, we never know after we drop them off at the back door. Friendly kid and kinda of a sad story. Strange how some contacts with people you remember after so long (+20 years now).

I was on morning watch at the time, my first trip for that night. So it was before 1990 I'm guessing.

At that time the minimum age was 14 that you could file any type of charge against, or that was what I was instructed. I know the law was changed a few years later.
