So how fast after Trump is announced as the winner....

I've always heard that he will take the gloves off in the second term. I sure hope he gets that opportunity.

I have never seen such a campaign to get voters to the polls. It is all over the TV, internet, print and radio. You would think voting is the hardest thing in the world to do and there are storm troopers at every precinct. It proves to me the constituency of the left are largely the unemployed and uninvolved or not legal to vote. I have never seen a campaign with so many forces outspokenly opposed to the sitting POTUS. I think if DJT wins he may indeed take off the gloves and get even with some critics.

My wife voted today and learned that every hour on the hour the machines are brought down for a while to "count" the votes. Not sure why that is?

So if you go this week, go in on the half hour to miss that stoppage.

Well, interesting. We voted absentee in the primary early in the year. Never got a ballot for the runoff, so we voted in person. Now my wife gets to the voting place and they tell her that we were sent absentee ballots and those will have to be cancelled. We sure never saw them.

Some serious issues with the absentee ballots here. What if she hadn't voted in person? I wonder how she might have voted?

I'm not early voting nor voting absentee, I'm voting the traditional way in person on Election Day. I wonder how many of us will be turned away on election day because "absentee" ballots were sent?

Voted last week but this election sure does smell like a rat. Too many options, too many errors, too much technology and way too many unaccounted for ballots floating around. You have the right to vote for your representation in this country but do you really have the right to have a thousand options? What is wrong with paper ballots, one or two weeks early voting along with election day. The country operated for two hundred years plus using pretty much this formula. If the authority responsible for counting is too damn incompetent to count paper ballots maybe they should not be the ones in charge. The whole dimpled/hanging chads issue in Florida was BS because Gore could not except defeat like a man. Technology sucks for the most part it is making us dumber by the minute.

I don't think Paulding has a real good handle on Absentees, in a manner of speaking. First my wife and I requested absentee ballots due to covid, and they both arrived with the understanding that we would receive them throughout the voting cycle. The runoff comes along and my wife gets a ballot but I don't, so we go in to vote and my wife has to sign an affidavit stating she will not vote twice, while I showed my ID and voted. General election comes along and I get a ballot but she doesn't! We go up there in person and she votes and drops my ballot in the absentee box. I can't figure out how they can screw that up, but everyone did get to vote and they do seem to keep up with unreturned ballots, and if they are used, which leaves me with a little confidence about voter fraud in that area.
