What have you been doing to keep yourself busy... catch us up... :cheesy: We're OK. I have another cancer treatment tomorrow, trying to keep it at bay. We still love it up here on the river. We sold our house in Hiram. I bought a new Jeep. Basically Old Roscoe the diabetic cat and I spend our mornings on the back porch sipping coffee and our afternoons harassing the Mrs. It's a tough life but somebody's gotta do it.

Glad to hear you are fighting the good fight.

I am working with a young gal, early 30s going through treatments for Breast Cancer.

All I can say is Cancer Sucks. And it is scary when you have never been through anything with your health before.

They put in a port and gave her a sheet that said no medication, AND told her there would be no pain.

I checked in with her and she did have pain. I asked what pain relief they gave her. None... they gave her nothing. I asked if they said she could take tylenol, advil, aliev? She said, "No, they told me there would be no pain, and the sheet they sent home with me said I was not to take medication." I said they cut your skin to put the port in under your skin of course there will be some pain.

I advised her to call the number they had on the sheet to inquire why it was hurting... Of course they told her she could take Tylenol, Advil, or Aleve.

Then last week she asked her doctor if she could take CBD oil (now that she is on her second treatment and not feeling so well.) He said, "NO! Why would you take that?" She said, "I hurt and can't eat or sleep." (There is a shot that boosts white cells that makes your bones ache for several days.) The dumb doctor said, "Oh, you should have asked me for a prescription." I have no words

This is a gal that has never had any health problems, doesn't do drugs. She is tough, trying to work through it. I have left her schedule as it is per her request, but twice, I have sent her home because it is obvious how much she was struggling.

Cancer sucks.

I've run into the pain control wall too. In many cases their hands are tied. I can't take NSAIDS. That leaves the joke called Tylenol or opiates as far as they are concerned. There is one drug they gave me a prescription for that eases bladder pain, but there is something weird about it. No insurance covers it. Apparently it has only conditional FDA approval because of potential side effects. Cancer patients can get it.

I can tell you that our nephew gave me some Delta 8 THC/CDB gummies that are legal here in Ga because only Delta 9 is illegal (for now). It isn't like smoking pot, it relaxes your muscles, makes you sleepy, and stops spasms. I wouldn't drive on it because it makes you a bit wobbly, but it really helps get rid of the grit your teeth pain and anxiety. It works better than Hydrocodone for my.pain and isn't addictive.

Interesting. Glad you have found pain relief. I had ureter stents for 4 months in 2013, and the bladder pain was terribly. Oxycontin and oxycodone were all that helped.

We have all sorts of legal pot shops as almost everything "pot" is legal in CA. Lots of edibles like the gummies.

She was feeling good yesterday, no pain, and she said the chemo brain fog was gone today. It was good to see her back to her old self.

Wow, howdy and it's good too see you.
The only thing you've missed is that GD got a home theatre which of course means more speakers. Even speakers in the crapper.

One cannot properly poop without good music.
