They are SO SMART!!! I swear they can speak English (prolly German, too); they just don't want us to know they know how, so they don't speak it where we can hear them.

Making a note: NO German Shepherds - I've got a hubby that talks back, a child that tries to talk back and I just couldn't handle having a dog that wants to talk back too (in any language).

I grew up with GS dogs..as a matter of fact my brother had one when I was a kid whose name was Boy. He used to be my freakin baby sitter..lol My mom would let me go outside to play and she would say now Boy, if she get's near the road you tell mama. That dang dog would run to the road and get in front of me and bark and back me up back into the yard :laugh She would tell me to go to bed and tell Boy if she doesn't go night night you come tell mama, stupid dog would sit in my room till I fell asleep and if I even tried to get out of bed he would bark and alert my mom :laugh he was such a pain but such a good doggie to. One time this man pulled into our yard and I was out playing and before that man could even get out of his car, Boy had him pinned inside barking and growling till my mom and brother came outside then he came over and sat in front of me till that man left. He was my protector to :love (even if he did tattle on me :laugh)
