Thanks JR for sending me the book. I read it in three days and really liked it and I'm hooked as now I want to read the rest of the series. I did have some issues on some technical aspects in the book. There are no red buttons to push to start a HMMWV (Humvee). During Operation Just Cause, nobody had to sign in or sign out to enter any military installation. They did run a 100% ID check of everyone coming on a base, but their names were not recorded unless their vehicle didn't have a DoD sticker on the windshield. Absolutely nobody was recorded as they departed a base. Officers don't get to exchange their damaged uniforms for new ones through a quartermaster. Officers have to buy all their uniforms unless they are uniforms necessary for deployment. We don't call them the quartermaster either. For decades we have just been referring to them as "supply." These are just minor things I picked up on in the book.
It was a great story though and I liked Reacher. I was actually surprised he killed Willard. If it were me, I would have put the drugs in his vehicle and called the civilian LEOs. Personally, I would have rather seen him have to live with being dishonorably discharged from the Army for illegal drug possession. Killing Willard reduced Reacher to the same level as Marshall and the others. I want to read "The Affair" next.
Thanks again Bro for sending me the book. I really enjoyed it. I think this one would have made an excellent movie. I can't see Tom Cruise playing Reacher though; not at all. For one, he's too short. I think Hugh Jackman would be a great Reacher.
