The Perfect Food

For me... the world's most perfect food is my Grandma's Cheeseburgers :

Every Sunday after church, my Grandma Billie would make
about 25 or 30 cheeseburgers to feed the whole family...

She did this every Sunday afternoon for well over 40 years...

Hand pressed patties of love cooked on her perfectly seasoned griddle
with toasted buns and a yummy melted slice of velveeta on each one...

She laid out tomatos, lettuce, onions, pickles, ketchup, mustard , mayo
on the kitchen table with giant bowls of Lays potato chips and Fritos...

I could eat one of those cheeseburgers every
single day for the rest of my life and die happy.

What is your world's most perfect food ? :love

I loves me some good chili

I make a pretty good spicy chili
with a super secret spice mix...

Curious... do you have a very favorite recipe ? 8)

Not really, I just like a good bowl of chili.

And now you gotta make me some of yours. :p

I'm with you honeybunny. There's nothin' like a good 'ol homemade hamburger. I loved it when my dad used to grill them out :love Now I do every chance I get. Extra onion and mayo please 8)

French fries are my weakness. I can avoid them, unless they are within reach. I lost a lot of weight a while back by quitting cold turkey.

Broccoli is my typical dinner. I like it, it's good for you, easy to nuke, tastes great dipped in a little low-fat ranch dressing.

Too many other foods are favorites.

So, is that like saying your center of gravity is adjusted for good cornering? :race

This is hard. THe most perfect food was my great grandmother's lunches. No one could cook like her. Everything was from her garden except the cheese and milk and flour.... mac & cheese, green beans, fried "okry", fried squash, hot fresh cornbread, pinto beans or black eyed peas. For dessert she'd always have still warm pineapple upside down cake from the cast iron skillet and a coconut cake made that morning bright & early. And if it was in season, rubarb pie (also from the garden).

I miss Granny's suppers. :(

If we are talking about Grannys, I'll take her absolutely perfect biscuits any day. I miss those more than anything in this world and no one else I know makes them as good.

Grandmas Sweet Potato pie.

Mac and Cheese. Not out of the box!!!
Ham, Black eyed peas, boiled cabbage, and banana pudding made from scratch!!
