Tornado Watch in Effect Through 3am

Tornado watch is in effect until 3am for all of N Georgia tonight. Damaging winds, heavy rain, and isolated tornadoes are possible across the state through the overnight hours.

The tornado threat across parts of N Georgia has increased in the last few hours as the upper system gets closer. The area that is being monitored is down below in the brown shading, as of right there have been no reports of severe weather but we have seen some very heavy rainfall.

As we progress through the evening the upper energy with quite a bit of rotation will get closer and closer to N Georgia which will increase the amount of rotation in the atmosphere.

Watching the news now. Fox5 is saying that they expect more counties to be dropped out of the watch because severe weather isn't developing and the weather in some areas is stabilizing.

I fell asleep, but left the weather app running on my phone in case it turned into a tornado warning. Very glad that it didn't!

I can do it because I average about 5 hours of sleep a night so when I go to bed, I'm out.

I can do it because I average about 5 hours of sleep a night so when I go to bed, I'm out.

I don't average that and still do not sleep like the dead. :dunno I go to bed at 12:30. Chat with husband until 1 and sleep from then until about 5. Sometimes 5:30. I have always slept about those hours. It is not anything new, or to do with husbands schedule. I have no idea why I do not sleep much.
