Wait, they raided Trump's house for this

I do think these Biden documents makes it much harder for Trump to get charged. However, and this may not be a popular comment but the situation is a bit different. Trump was asked to return documents and he didn't. I'm guessing pretty much all presidents are guilty of taking secret documents and they are never charged and there are never stories about it because they return the documents when asked. Again, Trump failed to do that.
Because there is no regulation on how a president can declassify documents, the burden of proof is really on the DoJ to prove Trump did not declassify the documents. A protocol a past president may have established for how he declassified information is not a law and cannot be a criminal offense for not following.

There's a rumor going around that Obama's people (Obama and Hillary still control much of the government, if you didn't know) did this to set Joe up and give the Dems an out for 2024.

It kinda makes sense
I think Biden took the from the WH and then forgot he had them. It's not the first time Biden has demonstrated the laws do not pertain to him. Here's what I think will most likely happen. He'll be removed as president for diminished capacity. There are lots of examples in the last two years he's been in office that shows that. How many times has he called Harris president?

Yep... the crime of the century is now looking pretty common. They were found in his Delaware garage, SIX years later.

Why don't we raid 0BaMa's houses, Clinton's houses, Bush's houses... who knows what they will find ... since it does not look like the authorities who are supposed to keep tracking/logs of these highly classified documents know what has gone missing?

However...
Talking heads say most presidents and VPs take souvenirs when they leave... a signed note from Gorbachev, a copy of the daily security briefing, or some other document that strokes the politicians ego to have as a "look at me" and how important I was memento.

I do think it is interesting because a VP can't deem a classified document no longer "classified," where a President can... so I would think the "crime" would be more onerous for a VP? Just thinking out loud...

Maybe 0BaMa set ol' Joe up... but hell... FJB... Let's GO Brandon!

The WH house is trying to spin this, saying this incident is not the same as Trump's because Biden's lawyers contacted the records archive to get them. I have news for the WH; that doesn't matter. Biden broke the law by taking those documents out of the WH. Another point of contention is the docs found at the Penn Biden Center are now being reported as having been found in November and those in his Wilmington home on December 20th. What took so long to report this to the people?

Emails suggest Hunter Biden had access to garage where Joe kept classified docs, Corvette

Hunter Biden, who is under federal investigation for possible tax and foreign lobbying violations, listed his father’s Delaware address as his own residence, records show.

Separately, New York Post reporter Miranda Devine, author of the book "Laptop From Hell," shared a Twitter post showing a background screening document in which Hunter Biden also listed his father’s Delaware address as his own.

DOJ Indicts Trump For Biden’s Possession Of Classified Documents

WASHINGTON, DC — After multiple caches of highly classified government documents were found in different locations belonging to President Joe Biden, the United States Department of Justice acted swiftly to indict former President Donald Trump for the alleged crime.

"This is a serious violation of federal regulations," Attorney General Merrick Garland said in a press briefing announcing the indictment. "We will take all measures available to the Justice Department to hold Donald Trump accountable for President Biden being found in possession of these documents."

"No one is above the law."

Sensitive documents related to Ukraine, Iran, and the UK were found in an office used by Biden at the University of Pennsylvania, though investigations as to what Biden was doing for the University were still ongoing. "President Biden played such a vital role here at the University," said school spokesperson Barry Windham. "He was the head of various committees here at the school, including the…the, uh…he... so many things."

When news of the indictment broke, Trump was quick to offer his response. "How can they indict me for something Biden did? How does that make any sense?" the former President said in a post to his Truth Social account. "I was in possession of the most beautiful, perfectly filed documents WHICH I DECLASSIFIED MYSELF. This is just another WITCH HUNT! WRONG!"

At publishing time, more searches were reportedly already underway at other locations belonging to Biden, including his White House nap room and his Spongebob Squarepants lunchbox, in hopes of gathering more evidence to use against Donald Trump.

Some are blaming it on careless staff members Biden had while VP. Others are saying the documents were planted. Some are even making accusations the documents were planted. I don't see anyone from the left saying it's Biden's fault he had those classified documents.
Even if so, the buck still stops at Biden's feed. A leader must take responsibility.
