When posting a video....

Previously the rules prohibited posting a video without a description.

Since most videos include a brief description, it is no longer necessary.

I'll take responsibility for the confusion.

We (ahem) borrowed the rule below from another forum where I mod. The purpose of it was to stop members, especially in the political forums, from making post after post of inflammatory links without any explanation. I think some of you know the practice I'm referring to. :whistle

9. No spam allowed. We define spam two ways;

-Advertising by outside companies for profit. Posts of this nature will be deleted and the member will be banned. At this time, we do allow participating members with a minimum of 25 posts to advertise their businesses.
-Posting of propaganda or links only. We require all thread-beginning posts to contain at least two sentences of original content to go with any links or pictures.

That forum had older software that didn't support video embedding, so they were not part of our intent there. Since this software does support embedding, the rule has caused some confusion.

We have amended that rule to exclude embedded videos within reason.

Just growing pains we're working through. Lets all have a group hug (fully clothed, BBG) and get back to being goofballs.
