WSJ: Trump Has Talked of Forming 'Patriot' Party

The only way to fix the GOP is in the primaries. If it says incumbent, no vote. Only by getting rid of the deadwood that have been voted in for years (often for senority reasons, remember the "keep the gavel in the 16th" slogan for what's his name that ran the state for years? )

If we vote them back in, we can't expect any change.

The problem there is, we get Democrats.

Sleep in late then take Election Day off and go to the beach. If our votes don’t count and elections are rigged then why participate? I know people don’t want to hear that but it’s now a reality. Everyone is quick to close Tweety, Butt-Face, and Armageddon accounts but have no issue with continuing to vote straight R. Count me out.

Trump has the charisma to pull it off if he can reign in his mouth.

Remember Ross Perot? Until be pulled that stunt by dropping out and getting back in, he had a VERY viable 3rd party going.

Somebody needs to lead the Libertarians, maybe Trump could.
I'm really not sure why all of a sudden people are throwing libertarians into the Trump camp. He's as big a freaking litmus test for libertarianism as Bernie. The answer would be no.

The Libertarians need someone with some organizational skills and charisma. I mean, seriously!

I really think Jo Jorgensen was a good pick. She was smart and articulate. If she had been on that debate podium we would have done something we have yet to do and that is to get 5 percent nationwide. That opens some doors financially and otherwise, and is really the goal right now. It can't be done with Vermin Supreme or McAfee, on that we agree.

There has been some talk in the actual big "L" party to make overtures to the few remaining libertarian leaning small government Republicans. They see the split in the party and want to siphon off those who are neither tyrants or corporatists. Right now that would be about 30 in Congress. I don't see that happening today, maybe a year or two from now if the Republican party just implodes.
