You couponers!!!

Why is it that whenever I go to CVS to get the deals of the week, they are wiped clean???? I get so mad :rant
Are the couponers just lying in wait for CVS's sale to start at whatever time they start since they are 24 hours? Or does CVS purposely never have this stuff in stock? So frustrating!

Also, for those of you that do try to get the deals to get the ECBs, there is a limit per household. I saw a lady last week filling her buggy with the Pulsar toothbrushes when there was a limit of 2 for ECBs.

That is all. :D I feel better now.

I don't know what they do, but the same thing happened to me at Kroger and Target two weeks in a row. I wanted body wash for the last two weeks to get for my son. Any ones that had coupon....gone. Totally wiped out. Not one left, even of the stinkier ones! (strong smelling) Makes me so mad. :rant I just wanted one for a good price to send with my son down to GA Southern. Pft.

It's what is refered to as "lost leaders" to get you into the store. The odds are once you're in there, you will buy something else.

I think it is a little of both....CVS never has enough of their sale items in stock, but at the same time, some of these extreme couponers buy everything they can get their hands on. I know there are some that will purposely shop at midnight on the day the sale starts just so they can get as many of the deals as they can. I am pretty sure some of those extreme couponers have more than one Extra Care card so they can get more of the deals.

It happened some before but now that the Extreme Couponers show has come out things have gotten really bad. Those selfish few are going to end up ruining it for everyone.

This is what I suspect. Grrr. I do not buy more than four or five of something, wether it is free or not. I get so, so frustrated when I try to get some deals and they are wiped clean.

Now that I am not working I can't go to the stores on Austell Rd. or South Cobb Drive. No one coupons over there - the majority of folks that shop there either don't speak english and/or are on food stamps. But in Paulding you have to be quick!! LOL I guess there are too many stay at home moms out here.

YES! I have noticed this, too! It seems much worse now that stupid show is on. I can't say I don't watch it - it is often on during late night feedings, lol. But you are right. Grrrr!!

The only thing that frustrates me more is to see those selfish people standing at the in-store coupon dispensers taking every coupon. I've figured out the stocking times at the grocery stores I routinely use so I usually get what I'm looking for there, but CVS and Rite Aid are horrible about not restocking sale items so I rarely shop there any more. Walgreens is better, but I shop at one that doesn't have a lot of couponers in the area so I generally get what I want.

What are ECBs?

I think she means Extra Care Bucks, which is free money off certain items at CVS, if you don't shop there. Unless it means something else in coupon parlance that I'm not aware of.

If they don't have it, I usually get an item that is close. When I get to the cashier, I let them know that what was on sale is out, and would they substitute.

Oh and I don't shop at CVS. Too far out of my way.

I know how you feel. I can't stand going into a store to use a coupon, only to find that what I want to get is completely wiped out. Grrrrrrrr

(BTW- I do use some of the methods of extreme couponing, when I can, but I am not one of those people who sweep the entire shelf into my buggy or buy things I don't need to use the overage on something else.)
