March for Life

Hey! Is anyone going to the March for Life this coming Friday? It starts at 11:30 a.m. with speeches on the capitol steps. I am going with my five children. We march every year--it is an emotional experience, with so many thousands silently filling the streets. You don't hear anything but the sound of taps being played on the street corners. It's a beautiful show of love for the unborn!

Don't know yet if I'll be able to go this year, but it's very moving. GREAT for you to go with your kids! I loved the year Zell showed up with Sonny and apologized for all the years he sat inside and did nothing because he didn't yet understand. (I love that man.)

I wish I could but that dang job gets in the way of these things.
LOL. My husband has the same problem. I'm so blessed to have the coolest job in the world: homeschooling mom.

Sweet! I love that, too. I hope you are able to make it.

Unfortunately, we miss the talks because we always celebrate Mass and have lunch at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception (down the street) before the march. By the time we get to the Capitol, we're way in the back and cannot hear or see very much.

On the flip side, we're always near the beginning of the line for the march. The thing that blows me away is looking backwards and seeing the massive tide of people behind us, filling the entire street, uphill and down as far as the eye can see.

What really astonishes me is how little (if any) news coverage it gets. There was not one word of it in the Marietta Daily Journal, not one word, and they call themselves Atlanta's conservative voice.

is truly sad that we can't defend life (babies) but we will scream bloody murder at the thought of an animal being harmed (michael vick)

I'll be working, but I'll be thinking of you. I'm glad you have a place to discuss something so near and dear to your heart.
