A new Sheriff is coming

I'd like to know what each candidate thinks about the Tyler Canaris case. Specifically Deputy McMaster was fired but the dude who got arrested still has pending criminal charges. It appears no one in authority will comment due to pending litigation and we'll surely get hit with a huge lawsuit.

Maybe the new sheriff can clean house. We'll see.

We came home Sunday evening to find one of his signs near our driveway, I removed it the next day. Not because I won’t vote for him but because I prefer not to display my political leanings outside of my house (other than the huge Trump flag I fly from the truck).

(I’m only kidding about the Trump flag, I wouldn’t fly one of those either although it’s tempting).

I'm seeing a lot more Chad Hunton signs, but crickets regarding the Tyler Canaris smackdown. Why won't the candidates for sheriff address the ongoing prosecution of the dude who got his skull cracked by a deputy who's since been fired by the department?

I'm still irked that the fat cats are sweeping this under the rug.

My wife knows Ashley from Paulding COC meetings and related events. She likes him. I think both candidates are qualified. Hunton is a little more in the mold of Gulledge but not a clone by any means. Ashley is a little more modern and will probably produce the most change good or bad. Don't expect either to mention the pending cases against/from the county it would be a mistake politically. I think both would consider it the current Sheriffs cross to bear. As for commission chair I have known Brian since he was about 10 years old. I know of Mr. Estes and from what I know he is a decent man. Brian is much younger and involved with developers/builders. You can expect continued growth in the housing sector with Brian. Brian is business oriented as well but don't expect Paulding to attract any more businesses than in the past due to demographics. Bartow is the business magnet on this side of town due to I-75. Carroll will be next on the west side due to I-20. Mr. Estes is more conservative and not as in line with the developers. He may try to curb unregulated housing growth which suits me fine even though the cat is out of the bag on that one. I actually ran into Brian last Sunday and we talked a while mostly about fishing. We are both avid anglers. I voted yesterday so my lot is cast. Vote for who you think will do the best job.

Let me add that I know very little about either candidate and I've not made a decision for which I'll cast my vote. It could be either and will have nothing to do with their names.

Apparently the office of high sheriff is not as important as fart jokes. Look in the mirror boys if you want to know why this country /county is in the shape it is in.
